I was born in Canton, New York, and became interested in woodworking after being exposed at a young age to the wood and metal shop at my father's physics department. Woodworking however, remained a hobby to me as I pursued a career in medicine.

I became a practicing pediatrician in Davis, California and greatly enjoyed the time I spent interacting with patients and their families. However, I continued to experiment with woodworking every weekend (when I wasn't attending my daughter's sports events!) and found myself eventually craving the creative outlet it allowed me.

After retiring from medicine, I began to take requests from clients and family members for custom furniture. I have since made everything from pens and cutting boards to beds, dining tables, and cabinets.

Woodworking has always been intriguing to me because it combines the technical challenges of construction with the artistry of producing a custom design and product. I especially enjoy creating unique, functional designs for clients and pride myself in my ability to produce high-quality products in an efficient manner.
